How long does it take for a quote?

  1. As we give a free quote, we have a high demand from builders and owner builders. We can measure on site or off plans,
  2. Off Plans:. We have a full time estimator and depending on his work load, may take from several days up-to two weeks.
  3. On-Site:. We can come out and measure once the project is near to lock up. This may take a few days to measure up and return your quote depending on our work load.
Note: As it can be difficult to communicate what is required over the phone, we like to call in and see you in person to help advise the best way to help you and see what needs to be done.

How much to do my job?

As above, we like to call in and see you in person to help advise the best way to help you. This way we can give an accurate cost to your job rather than a figure pulled out of the air. Too many times I have been told ‘it’s only a small repair’ on the phone, only to find it is much more work than described

How quick can we start my job and how long will it take?

Once you have accepted the quoted price, and depending on the job size and work load, usually only a few days for smaller jobs to organise labour and delivery of materials. Time estimated on site depends on the size of the job.

Can you give me a square metre rate?

We work on a square metre rate on most dwelling’s over 350 square metre based on the quantity of material delivered to site. As each item has a m2 rate, ie: walls , ceilings cornice, metal angles etc, it is hard to give an overall square metre rate as each dwelling is different and has its own requirements. That’s why we need to individually measure each job.

What does "sound-rating" mean?

Sound-rating is a system that has been tried and tested through CSIRO and the manufacture to determine, the effect of sound to travel through the plasterboard and how best to reduce the impact of noise.

Yes! But sound-rating is complex and we need to know what noise you are trying to muffle. From road noise or people talking to a media room. Plasterboard and insulation are only part of the process and the manufactures supply us with approved systems that we must adhere to, to achieve a level of sound deadening to your requirement.
